Bucks County Council will take a contingent to Florida Sea Base Sailing July 11, 2009.  The crew is limited to 12 Scouts and Ventures 14 or older as of 1/1/09.   This contingent may be a co-ed crew.  Scouts and Ventures are accepted on a first come first serve basis; 4 Adult slots are available and will be selected by application.  All must immediately file their application and $250.00 deposit to reserve a spot.

You will spend your week on a large sailing vessel.  While aboard you will have the opportunity to snorkel some of the best coral reefs in the Florida Keys.  You will also have the opportunity to study astronomy, navigation and coral reef ecology.  As well as fishing as you travel to hopefully catch a meal.  Don't forget that night spent in Key West

The Florida Sea Base is the premier aquatic High Adventure facility of the BSA.  The programs involve strenuous activities that tire even those who are in the best physical condition.  You must complete the standard BSA swim test prior to your arrival.  If you cannot pass this test with out problems, you may want to reconsider participation Final cost to be determined based upon transportation, but expect to run around $1300.00 including pre-trip training.
