Endowment Neckerchief Program

In these times, where as Scouters we worry about our youth and Scouting in general, we often think of how we can do more that we already are. Now, there is an opportunity for you to continue to support Scouting well into the future, even after, as Baden-Powell says, you have Gone Home.

Ajapeu Lodge has created a Lodge Endowment Fund. This fund, which will be invested with the funds from the Camp and Council Endowment funds, will allow the Lodge to continue to promote the ideals of Brotherhood, Cheerfulness & Service well into the future. All income from the fund will be used for items above and beyond normal lodge expenses, such as the Council FOS campaign and Capital Expenditures at Camp Ockanickon.

As a way for you to show your commitment, Ajapeu Lodge will be issuing Endowment Neckerchiefs. The design will be similar to the green, white and red neckerchiefs the Lodge issued in the 60s and 70s. The patch on the neckerchief will be as shown above. The patches have a mylar border and the color indicates the level of your commitment. Donations of $250 will be recognized with a green border, $500 donations will be silver and $1000 will be gold. In addition to the gold border patch, a donation of $1000 will also be recognized by the National Council as a James E. West fellowship. West membership entitles you to national events, including a special week at Philmont.
